The conservancy lanes are cramped with haphazard parking of vehicles leaving inadequate space for pedestrians to walk. The unregulated parking is consuming the prime road space. In order to ensure that a minimum walking width is maintained in the conservancy lanes, it is essential that one-sided parking is marked and managed in all these lanes.
After a series of mapping parking activity and post that conducting on-site inspections with officials from BBMP, the MLA’s office and traffic police, we have put together a parking plan for the conservancy lanes that demarcate 2-wheeler, 4-wheeler and residential parking zones and give an indicative list of signages required for each zone.
